Rabbits are shown in competitions in youth category by exhibitors aged 19 and under.  They are also shown in open, which means the competition is open to breeders of all ages.

 

Based on the entries at the 2005 American Rabbit Breeders Association National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, here are the ten most popular breeds for youth and for open exhibitors.  They are listed in descending order according to the number of exhibitors.

Members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association can register their rabbits.  The rabbit must have no disqualifications, have a three-generation pedigree, and be presented to a licensed registrar for examination.  Here are the registration numbers per breed for the top ten breeds for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
