pet rabbit cages
Prevue Small Animal Homes with Stand
The truth about rabbits is that they are able to pee over the edge of the cage. So whatever you put your rabbit's cage on is bound to be ruined.
Put this cage on a small, washable rug and you've taken care of the problem. No furniture to lose, a beautiful, roomy cage, and mobility to boot. It's win-win-win!
Comes in three sizes. The smallest is fine for dwarf breeds. The largest is good for any breed except the giant breeds.
Super Pet Premium Rabbit Hutches
I honestly think that the smaller version of this is only appropriate for the smallest dwarf breeds - those 2 to 3 lbs. such as Netherland Dwarfs, Polish, Jersey Woolies, Britannia Petites, and the like. If you have other dwarf breeds, such as Holland Lops or Mini Rex, I'd opt for the larger hutch.
This hutch affords your rabbit with all of the winter protection it needs for most places in the US. In extremely severe weather, the simple addition of a tarp for the night or during a storm (tied down) and the enclosure filled with hay should be all that a rabbit needs to keep warm.
The solid surface floor in the enclosure provides your rabbit with additional protection again predators. Dogs and other predators can nip the toes and feet off rabbit living strictly on wire.
Super Pet Premium Hexagon Hutch
If you live in a subdivision with covenants against farm animals, you might want to consider a decorative hutch instead.
This hutch features a storage draw so you can keep supplies and treats handy. There is also a rear door for easy access.
And don't forget the bunny weathervane on top! Absolutely adorable while providing 7.5 square feet of living space for your pet rabbit.
This hutch is only available through the internet. It is not available in PetSmart stores.
Small Animal Heating Pad
Most of the time, using a heating pad with a rabbit is for our peace of mind rather than a real necessity. However, if you live in an extreme environment, or have an elderly rabbit or a surprise litter of bunnies, then you may find this heating pad to be the perfect solution.
I use warmers for nest boxes in extreme weather, for single births, and for highly valued litters.
The pad does not get hot. In fact, you may be unable to tell it is even on unless you compare it to an unheated piece of metal. However, to your rabbit, it is the equivalent of having a warm body to snuggle up to.
